Frequently Asked Questions

  • Acupuncture is generally very gentle. The needles are extremely thin — similar in width to a strand of hair — and many people find treatment deeply relaxing.

You may feel a small sensation as a needly is placed, followed by warmth, heaviness, tingling, or a sense of calm. In some treatments, particularly those focused on pain or musculoskeletal concerns, you may also experience light pressure or dull aches. These responses are often intentional and part of how treatment works.

Your comfort is always prioritized, and everything is discussed together throughout treatment.

  • It’s best to arrive hydrated and have a light meal or snack beforehand. Avoid coming on an empty stomach, and bring any questions you may have. This time is for you.

  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing if possible. Many acupuncture points can be accessed easily without changing, and your comfort is always prioritized during treatment.

  • Treatment frequency depends on your concerns, goals, and how your body responds. Recommendations will be discussed during your first visit and tailored to your individual needs.
